The New 2015 Kia Sorento Is a Clever Choice for Families in the Market for a Compact SUV Crossover

The Kia Sorento didn't take long to become the Korean car company's most popular
crossover vehicle--and it hasn't taken long for it to experience a very thorough reworking that refines the basic package that emerged in the 2011 model year.

For 2015, the Sorento gets some significant upgrades under the hood and under its floorpan, not to mention a new interior and new safety and infotainment features. It's no minor refresh: Kia says that more than 80 percent of the parts in the new Sorento are either all-new or significantly redesigned.

The most meaningful difference for many families may very well be the introduction of a more fuel-efficient V-6. The all-aluminum 3.3-liter GDI V-6 makes 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. A 191-hp, 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder engine is standard, but likely to be rare--and rightly so, since the V-6 almost matches it on gas mileage, and far outpoints it in pure power.

Like its stylish new exterior and efficient powerplant choices,
the Sorento's cabin looks similar to last year's model, but is in fact very different. The most noticeable change is a redesigned center stack and center console with a larger touchscreen infotainment display, a concentrated organization of buttons and controls and a T-handle shifter that feels like it was pulled from a luxury car. That attention to detail is also evident in newly rubberized soft-touch knobs for the audio and HVAC systems.

At acardealer.com, we think the new Sorento is an excellent choice compared to all other comparable SUVs. The price is right too, starting at just over $24,000 for the versatile base
model. All in all, the Sorento is roomy, fuel-efficient and tech-savvy. Even better, Sorento's quality is put together in none other than West Point, Georgia.

In fact, Kellys' Blue Book says the Kia Sorento is one of the best SUVs you can buy under 25K.

Toyota Debuts New Line of Offtrail TRD Pro Trucks at the Chicago Auto Show

Although sometimes criticized for building bland, dependable vehicles to suit the masses, Toyota truly has a rich history of making rugged, capable offroad trucks that millions count on across the globe.

Certainly the Land Cruiser is such a vehicle—one that regularly prowls the wilds of Africa and many other remote spots. First launched in 1951, the Land Cruiser has won the hearts of adventurers in every continent for over sixty years.

Well, the Japanese manufacturer had decided to embellish the tradition of offroad excellence with three new trucks in the legendary TRD Pro line. The trail-happy vehicles made a splash just days ago at the Chicago Auto Show and are scheduled to hit Toyota showrooms this autumn. The TRD Pro Series package will include the 4Runner, Tundra and Tacoma. Targeting the extreme off-road enthusiast, this new TRD Pro series package will introduce even more capability to three already very capable offroad vehicles.

"We're adding a lot of offroad excitement to the Toyota family," said Jack Hollis, Vice President of Marketing at Toyota. "Let's get dirty."

The package was designed by the experts at Toyota Racing Development (TRD) based on Toyota’s experience with racing in the desert and numerous wins in the Baja 500 and 1000
endurance races.

To help distinguish the TRD Pro package, these models will be equipped with TRD Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, TRD-tuned front springs, TRD front skid plate, unique front grille with “TOYOTA” badging, TRD floor mats, TRD shift knobs and black wheels. Only three model colors will be offered: Black, Super White and Inferno.

At acardealer.com, we believe these cool new offroad models will be hot sellers come fall—and the Toyota folks say each one will be modestly priced considering the custom-built trail prowess. We think you'll be impressed if you can stand the wait to see them in person.

Of course, if you're in the market now for a Toyota truck and want a great deal, we have just the pickup and perfect dealer to purchase it from. Ram 1500 Picks Up Back to Back Motor Trend "Truck of the Year" Honors

Winning the prestigious truck of the year award is impressive. But grabbing it two years in a row makes the diesel-powered Ram 1500 a pickup to be reckoned with. At acardealer.com, we have to admit we were a bit surprised.

But the Ram is deserving and we'll tell you why.

As it says in Chrysler's press release, the Ram 1500 outclassed the competition in "Fuel Economy, Torque, Style, and Amenities to Satisfy the Most Demanding Truck Buyers.

So how did Ram accomplish this?

Well, it starts with the truck's powerful new 3.0 liter EcoDiesel V6 engine. The 3.0-liter DOHC turbodiesel V-6 produces 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. The result is excellent down-low torque that will be sure to make new Ram owners smile in appreciation. At the same time, coupled with the high-tech 8-speed automatic gear box, the Ram delivers very commendable highway MPG of 26-28 (EPA unofficial at this time).

Experts also agree that the well-conceived interiors are first-class and the pickup bed is well designed and extremely durable. Cabin amenities are generous and good-looking— attributes that match the superb performance of the turbo diesel engine and its groundbreaking 8-speed transmission.

The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, the first half-ton in the American market with a small-displacement turbo-diesel engine beneath the hood, is available for pre-order now. Of course, if you choose, you can also get the Ram with a V8 Hemi powerplant.

Though the new (just unveiled) aluminum-clad Ford F-150 is admittedly a formidable new competitor, the Ram 1500, thanks to its excellent engine and drivetrain, should hold its own in the 2014 selling year. We think it's a definite touch of class in the competitive marketplace in which it dwells.

The new Ram should be in showrooms in a matter of weeks. In the meantime, you should soon be able to pre-order the award-winning Ram 1500 at your favorite Chrysler dealer. We heartily recommend metro Atlanta's premier Chrysler retailer, Akins Jeep-Chrysler-Dodge-Ram in Winder, GA. Take the time to visit one of Georgia's most highly-regarded dealers and get the best price possible on all types of Chrysler products.

If you're ready to buy now, remember Akins' Monthly Web Specials will save you thousands

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept Makes Big Splash in Detroit

The 2014 Detroit Auto Show had no shortage of exciting model debuts and promising
concepts. It's great to see this type of successful event in the heart of automotive America.

One muscular and elegant contender was the Q50 Eau Rouge that Infiniti boasts is "infused with the enticing spirit of Formula One."

Well, at acardealer.com, we have to say it looks hot and if the Eau Rouge gets built, Infiniti plans to power it with over 500 horses. That gets our attention, to say the least.

According to Johan de Nysschen, president of Infiniti, ""If we built this car I would expect it
to feature over 500 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. The engine we are evaluating for the Q50 Eau Rouge is a big personality, V-cylinder engine with forced induction."

We absolutely agree that the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge is a concept car that fully expresses Infiniti's design vision of a high-performance Q50 premium sports sedan. The Q50 Eau Rouge embodies the arresting design features of the Q50 premium sports sedan—infused with the enticing spirit of Formula One.

The Q50 Eau Rouge seems to hunker down with both racing purpose and pure aggressiveness. New front and rear fenders extend the current Q50's already broad-shouldered stance by 20mm, while a larger deck lid spoiler creates air-pressure downforce. All of this dynamic width is wrapped in a tailored coat of customized red paint.

Framing the paintwork across the Q50 Eau Rouge's athletic physique is deep-chrome
detailing to replace the chrome bright work of the production Q50, darkening the concept's impression and making the sedan look decidedly powerful.

In the cabin, the sporty interior is designed to offer an appealing blend of command and comfort. Further precision control is afforded by a high-grip sports steering wheel and Formula One-style paddle-shifters. The red-enhanced carbon fiber detailing in the doors and center console complement the exterior style, and dark-chrome again replaces silver-chrome in the red cockpit.

Put simply, the Eau Rouge is a stunning concept.

The catch is, we don't know for sure if the Eau Rouge will come to America or not. Until we do, you might want to think about an available Infiniti product that is stunning in its own right. When you're ready to shop, we highly recommend Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta for a thrilling test-drive of the hot new Infiniti Q50. Roswell Infiniti has the new Q in stock and ready for immediate delivery—plus you'll get an exceptional offer right now. Another option you'll find appealing is Roswell Infiniti's classic G37 sedan at a lease price that is extremely attractive in every way.

Whether it's the Q50, G37 or plush M sedan, you should take advantage of the impressive selection, savings and service at Georgia's Number One Infiniti Dealer. That includes acres of both new and pre-owned vehicles.

Another tip we at acardealer.com would like to pass on to you is Roswell Infiniti's Monthly Web Specials for exceptional values on fine Infiniti automobiles.
