Cool New Compact Infiniti Q30 Concept at Frankfurt Targets Youth Market in a Big Way

Attendees and Infiniti aficionados got a big wake-up call when the Infiniti Q30 Concept was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The five-door hatchback has style to spare and will compete aggressively with the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.

What, exactly, is Infiniti up to here?

Well, not only is Infiniti moving down market, it's targeting a younger audience, a field that it hasn't traditionally played in, that wants something different than a hum-drum luxury car. According to Infiniti's marketing director, Hugues Fabre, "Younger customers are coming into the premium segment with their own attitude toward premium-ness."

So if you appreciate Infiniti design innovations, chances are you are going to like all of the cues front to rear in the Q30 Concept. The Q30 sports a bold nose with Q50-inspired
headlights and grille. The drama continues rearward with striking creases from the profile view including a prominent reverse-kinked C-pillar that is sure to get everyone's attention. It's cool and brash at the same time.

Inside this futuristic hatchback, you'll discover an exciting interior that looks more like a Star-Wars-themed nightclub than a concept car cabin. There's lots of violet lighting, impressive bronzed trim and buttery leather. Ignore the flashy concept car highlights, though, and you'll come way thinking that Infiniti is dead serious when it says the Q30 foreshadows a true production model.

At we think the flowing lines of the Q30 work because of its grownup hatchback proportions and its huge, in-your-face wheels. The Q30 could seemingly slot into
the current, attractive Infiniti range of production cars. Being steadfast Infiniti fans, we'd really like to see that happen.

But since the Q30 is most likely a year or so away from dealerships, you might want to consider getting your Infiniti fix sooner rather than later. If so, we highly recommend Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta, for a game-changing test drive of the hot new Infiniti Q50. Roswell Infiniti has the new Q in stock and ready for immediate delivery—plus you'll get an exceptional offer right now. Another option you'll find appealing is Roswell Infiniti's classic G37 sedan at a lease price you will simply love.

Whether it's the Q50, G37 or plush M sedan, you should take advantage of the legendary selection, savings and service at Georgia's Number One Infiniti Dealer. And while you're at it, be sure to look into Roswell Infiniti's Monthly Web Specials for unrivaled values on Infiniti quality.

Bill Elliott's 26-Year Daytona Speedway Record Obliterated by Ford Eco-Boost-Powered Prototype

Powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, a new Riley Technologies racing car just posted a track-busting 222.9 MPH lap at Daytona Speedway.

The previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for over two-and-one-half decades until now.

To set the new record, Colin Braun drove a Riley Technologies Daytona Prototype race car, powered by the new 3.5-liter, V-6 Ford EcoBoost racing engine. Braun and the Michael Shank Racing team also set new world speed records for 10 miles from a standing start (210.018 mph average), and 10 kilometers from a standing start (202.438 mph average). All times from today's session are subject to Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) homologation.

Elliott set the previous speed record. But he understands the significance of what was accomplished during the recent speed trials.

"It was a challenging day," said Braun afterward. "There was a lot of work put in by a lot of people to accomplish these records. The power in the new EcoBoost engine was incredible, and it was amazing how fast it came up to speed on the runs.
Braun, at 25 years of age, wasn't even born when Bill Elliot set the record.

For Ford lovers, it is important to note that the the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost motor with twin turbochargers is based substantially from a number of production parts from the Ford Taurus SHO. Ford says, "Taurus SHO offers the ultimate marriage of performance and refinement with a collection of performance-enhancing upgrades. Delivering more power, heightened control and sportier style, SHO is equally at home on the streets or on the track."

Of course, you can explore EcoBoost power and efficiency in an array of other Ford models. For example, the Ford Focus ST with EcoBoost delivers 252 HP with 32 MPG. With spacious SUV amenities, the Ford Explorer Sport gives you twin-turbo oomph with 365 HP and still offers 22 MPG on the interstate.

Whichever Ford EcoBoost model gets your juices flowing—even if it's the unique, roomy Ford Flex Limited with 350 lb.-ft. of torque and 23 MPG highway, plan to visit Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia. Akins is worth a drive from anywhere in metro Atlanta.

Along with Akins' amazing customer care, you'll discover a spectacular inventory with matching savings and service after the sale. Don't Look Now, But King Camry Could Lose Toyota Its Number One Best-Seller Sedan Spot in 2014

Eleven months after Toyota claimed the 2012 sales crown a couple of months early thanks to the Camry, the headlines this year have been very different for sure. Even though the Camry remains the best selling car so far in 2013 and its volume has increased year-on-year, it has lost market share due to the 20-percent sales explosion in the midsize segment. That means people are buying more of the competitor offerings like the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion - the Altima, in fact, outsold the Camry by 100 units in March.

In July it was reported that Toyota was upping Camry incentives and fleet sales to keep its lead and that dealer inventory was climbing as, again, competitors got better at fighting the champion. In August Ford doubled down on production of the Fusion, adding a line in Flat Rock, MI to keep up with demand.

The truth is, Toyota's competitors are making better automobiles these days and they are pricing them to compete specifically with the Camry.

Still, the Camry has been number one for 15 of the past 16 years, its only second-place blip coming in 2001, so it's way early to be talking about the fall of the champion.

Frankly there is a lot to like about the Camry and if you like solid, mainstream design and reliable performance, Toyota Camry is an easy sedan for us at to recommend.

For example, less than 23K will put you in the driver's seat of a Camry LE with a 6-speed automatic transmission, projector beam halogen headlights, 16" wheels and enough air bags and safety equipment to rival all the competition. Plus you get 178 HP from the 4-banger as well as up to 35 MPG highway.

We like the Toyota Camry for a slew of logical reasons. The 2014 Camry has a fresh interior, roomy seats, admirable outward visibility and well-placed controls. The most noticeable and valuable
enhancements in the 2014 Camry are the quality of materials used throughout the cabin, including an abundance of soft-touch surfaces. On the outside, the Camry provides the comfort and the quiet and smooth ride that should please a wide range of midsize sedan shoppers. Power and fuel economy are excellent.

If you live in Atlanta, and you're in the market for a Toyota Camry, we want to give you an inside tip on a smart dealer to do business with. Turn your attention to Stone Mountain Toyota at 4400 Stone Mountain Highway in Lilburn. You can count on Stone Mountain Toyota for money-saving Monthly Web Specials and a great deal on new and pre-owned Toyotas, plus other fine used vehicles. 2014 Camrys are priced right—all you need to do is pick the right color and equipment for your family.
