2014 Mustang GT. Sexy Styling and V8 Power Never Get Old

It's a match made in heaven.

We're talking about a smooth, gutsy 5.0 V8 with sleek, classic coupe styling in a Pony car that is better than ever. That's what's in store for driving enthusiasts such as you who know an All-American classic like this is a fine option to consider even in the fast-moving 21st century. Its 420 HP and better-than-ever 6-speed manual transmission deliver driving pleasure that excites and never gets old. If you like balls-to-the-wall, smile-a-minute fun in your rear-wheel-drive vehicle, then you have to take a close look at the Ford Mustang GT .

For 30K+ you get 390 pound-feet of torque and a sweet, sonically-rich sound with just enough of a hard edge to satisfy the senses. Not just that, but the Mustang GT is fast as hell and truly a serious performance machine. Check out the 2014s specifications. This bad boy will do zero to 60 MPH in a mere 4.3 seconds.

Pushing those delicious revs into the stratosphere is the six-speed manual (which we at wholeheartedly recommend). Its substantial, positive metallic clicks are nicely spaced with short throws. Clutch action is pretty low effort and progressive, and with so much torque that it's simple to get the GT moving – gently or in a cloud of smoke as your taste and situation dictate.

You can get all of this power-goodness and still achieve around 26 MPG on the highway. That is, if you don't get too crazy!

Inside, the Ford Mustang GT offers Recaro cloth racing seats (a $1,595 option). They are sublime and supportive with excellent bolsters that keep you in check if you happen to be shifting hard around the curves.

Best of all, compared to the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, the Mustang feels the tidiest and lightest on its feet. On a curvy road, the Mustang responds eagerly to steering inputs and feels controlled and manageable. Also contributing to your confidence are the Mustang's superior sight lines around the A-pillars, which provide more confidence when running through a curvy road. Due to the Mustang's suspension design with its heavy,
solid rear axle, the back of the car can get a bit lively when you encounter bumps in the middle of a corner taken at higher speeds.

But if you want to know the truth, that's just part of the classic Mustang's enduring appeal.

If you think the 2014 Ford Mustang GT is the vehicle of your dreams, we think you should explore the excellent deals and friendly customer service at Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia. Akins is worth a drive from anywhere in metro Atlanta. And the friendly folks at Akins are currently offering $4,000 off 2013 V6 Mustangs for a limited time.

Take time to discover the selection, savings and caring service at Akins Ford—whether you're into a Ford Mustang or a Ford F-150. The prices are always right at Akins Ford. And you'll find the ownership experience to be priceless.

Take a Hard Look at the Redesigned 2013 Honda Civic. We Think You'll Like What You See

Okay, we all know Honda goofed with the 2012 Civic. It lacked fresh appeal, refinement and worst of all, flaunted cheap interior materials and frankly, a dull exterior design.

Well, thank goodness Honda stepped up its game with the 2013 Civic re-do. It puts the legendary little compact back in the race in a fiercely competitive market which includes the excellent Focus, Elantra, Mazda3 and Cruze, among others.

The 2012 LA Auto Show got the new Civic off to a great start and it hasn't stopped going since.

For starters, the 2013 Civic's nose features a thoroughly updated look, with a more complex hood stamping, larger mesh grille opening framed by a chrome-edged smile, more interesting headlamps and a reworked lower fascia with splashes of brightwork that do wonders to help the design look more upscale.

A quick peek at Honda owner forums reveals that existing Civic drivers who came in looking to trade their cars for a 2012 model were disappointed with the noticeable cheapening of cabin materials. That's been rectified for 2013, with more soft-touch plastics, elegant stitching on the dashboard and doors, a richer headliner, nicer upholstery and, in general, a more premium aura.

Under the hood the familiar 140 horsepower four-banger is a smooth, torque-centric powerplant mated to either a 5-speed stick or the more popular automatic. Best of all, the 2013 Civic is rated at 39 MPG highway. Yet it feels faster than the 2012 model and the retooled roll bars on front and rear help the Civic drive better, too.

True, there are better road-handling vehicles in this tough compact segment, but overall, we at believe the new Civic offers a compelling combination of quality and value.

Especially when you consider the kind of zero-down offer you can get at dealers like Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville. Currently the area's number one Honda dealer can get you into a value-packed Civic LX for under $150 per month.

With all the upgrades to the redesigned Civic, we call this the type of deal that's just too good to pass up.

Athletic, High-Tech and Classy, the Infiniti M Makes Sense if You Crave Luxury and Value

In its class, the comfortable, V6-powered M37 puts the accent on pure sport and value.

If you enjoy superior handling along with undeniable luxury and power the M will match its German counterparts in a straight line. But when the road begins to bend and you take on the twisties that make driving so much fun, that's when the Infiniti M exceeds its competitors. The M's road-holding ability does come with a compromise in ride quality, however, as the M will transmit a few more road imperfections into the otherwise calm cabin.

But at, we think it's a worthy tradeoff.

Stiffer ride aside, the Infiniti M lineup compares favorably with its Germanic rivals. The interior boasts top-notch materials and a long list of standard and optional electronic features, all of which are thoughtfully placed and expertly executed. Besides the conventionally powered models, there's also an M35h hybrid which rates an impressive 32 MPG on the highway.

Powering the 2013 Infiniti M37 is a 3.7-liter V6 that produces 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. As with all M models, a seven-speed automatic transmission with four different shift modes (Standard, Sport, Snow or Eco) is standard. Rear-wheel drive is also standard, with all-wheel drive available on M37 and M56 versions (designated by an "x" after the model names). The base six-cylinder M gets an EPA-estimated 26 miles to the gallon.

Inside, the M's plush cabin is spacious and generously appointed. As for technology, it's hard to think of a European model that improves on the M's available entertainment, comfort and safety technologies that can be had once you check all the options boxes. In particular, Infiniti's navigation and audio interfaces are some of the most user-friendly in the business. In terms of storage, the M has a 14.9-cubic-foot trunk.

Best of all, the M37 is a big sedan that drives amazingly well, putting you in complete control with engaging feel and response. If you want even sharper performance, go for the Sport
model with its excellent firmed-up performance upgrades and 20" wheels.

Where should you shop for all this M goodness?  We suggest you head over to Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta, for a mind-blowing test drive. While you're at it, keep in mind that right now, you can drive home an M37 with a lease for less than $500. In our opinion, that's unrivaled value.

Whether it's the M or the ready-to-debut Q50, you'll discover the selection, savings and service at Georgia's Number One Infiniti Dealer to be second to none.

Prediction: The New 2014 Toyota Corolla Will Turn Heads with Its USA-Debut this Fall

We understand it's a Corolla, but the exciting, chiseled good-looks of the 2014 model really do raise its appeal several notches. Finally, the Toyota Corolla will shed its meek, compact car persona.

The Corolla's unveiling recently at a gala event in California show the latest generation to be a truly daring redesign that has Toyota stepping out of its typical conservative comfort zone.

You'll have to wait till autumn arrives to get yours, but we believe the wait will be worth it.
Sign up for updates and more info here.

Toyota said it is hoping to make "a much stronger design statement" with the 2014 Corolla, which bears more than a passing resemblance to the Toyota Corolla Furia Concept that debuted in January at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

Check out the racy front end, LED headlights and beefy looking body. This ain't your mama's Toyota Corolla.

The Corolla has been one of the most popular products in its segment for more than four decades with a look that Toyota has seemed reluctant to tinker with in the past.

However, Toyota apparently is hoping to avoid the painful lessons learned by Honda with its disappointing redesign of the 2012 Honda Civic, a Corolla competitor. The 2012 Civic's interior layout and materials were widely criticized and Honda hustled to launch a relatively unusual mid-cycle change just about 18 months after the car's debut. General Motors was forced to take a similar approach with the recently redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Malibu.

The 2014 Corolla rides on a longer wheelbase that has been stretched nearly 4 inches compared to the outgoing model. Rear-seat passengers gain more legroom thanks to the redesign. Plus the cabin gets upscale materials, including piano-black gloss trim and metallic touches.

Stay tuned to news about the daring new 2014 Corolla. Our pick of Toyota dealers in the Atlanta area is Stone Mountain Toyota at 4400 Stone Mountain Highway in Lilburn. You can count on Stone Mountain Toyota for fantastic Monthly Web Specials and a great deal on new and pre-owned Toyotas, plus other fine used vehicles. 2014 Corollas will be arriving in a few months, so call, click or stop by for a test-drive.

We're sure you'll be delighted with the savings, service and selection made with you in mind at Stone Mountain Toyota. That's true whether you choose the exciting new 2014 Corolla, the best-selling Camry or the rugged new Tundra.

The New 2014 Jeep Compass Points Positive in Every Direction

Word on the street is, Chrysler's Fiat management is going to nix the Jeep Compass-Patriot duo and replace them with a new compact SUV in a significantly smaller form.

That means you should get to your Jeep dealer as soon as you can and put the appealing 2014 Compass (or Patriot) in your driveway.

We think the 2014 Jeep Compass is the best-looking iteration ever, and it matches visual appeal with a new six-speed automatic which is vastly better than the continuously variable transmission it replaces. The new automatic will be available as an option on the Sport trim of both specs, and as standard on Latitude and Limited models. It can be had in front-wheel-drive versions or those equipped with the optional Freedom Drive I.

You can get the 2014 Compass with optional 18-inch wheels as well—an intelligent upgrade if you're in the market.

The 2014 Patriot should be priced at about $16K plus destination charge, and the Compass should be ready for your purchase at under $20K, well-equipped. We say, that's a lot of value in a reasonably-sized SUV with a whole heckuva-lot of off-road potential, plus clean lines and good performance overall.

We take note that the Jeep Compass-Patriot duo has unsurpassed Jeep Trail Rated 4x4 capability, fuel economy of up to 30 miles per gallon (mpg) and improved ride and handling performance in all weather conditions. Quite simply, that makes the 2014 Jeep Patriot the best-priced 4X4 in America.

It all adds up to a lot of vehicle for the money, and we at know exactly where you should look to spend your hard-earned dollars.

Stop by and get to know the good people at Hayes Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-RAM, just off Highway 365 in Gainesville-Cornelia. Hayes has four generations of family-ownership pride ready to serve you with the best selection, service and savings in all of North Georgia.

Hayes will put you in a new Jeep Patriot or Compass at the best possible price. Plus you'll receive family-friendly service before and after your purchase. It all adds up to an outstanding ownership experience you will appreciate for years to come.
