Get Excited! Spy Photos of the 2015 Chrysler 200 Indicate a Huge Upgrade

The 2015 Chrysler 200 is expected to make its formal debut at the 2014 Detroit auto show in January.

We can't wait, because the consensus at is that the new 200 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
will be an absolute game-changer in the midsize sedan class. Keep your eyes peeled for its debut at the January, 2014

Ralph Gilles, Chrysler’s vice president of design, had previously promised the new 2015 Chrysler 200 would “look unlike any Chrysler we’ve ever seen.” He wasn’t kidding, even if the new 200 doesn’t seem very radical in early spy photographs.

The first thing you will notice is the stylish four-door-coupe roofline doing its best to impersonate something like the Audi A7, or maybe the Volkswagen CC. The front-end styling is a departure from recent Chrysler designs with narrow headlights and an equally short, chrome-trimmed grille. In profile, the bullet-nosed 200 is somewhat reminiscent of the Tesla Model S. This new design language should definitely help the 200 get noticed in a segment filled with hot sellers like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, as well as more stylish offerings like the Ford Fusion and Mazda6.

The interior also represents a vast improvement. The instrument panel design looks similar to what is found in the Dodge Dart (not a bad thing), including the oversized instrument gauges and possibly even the LED accent lighting. The center stack and console are clean with minimal buttons and knobs. Also detected is a rotary gear selector, which may confirm reports from last year that suggested the 200 will use a nine-speed automatic transmission to help it hit 38 miles per gallon on the highway.

Beneath the surface, the 2015 Chrysler 200, which is known within as the UF project, rides upon a modified version of the Fiat-derived Compact US-Wide (CUSW) platform, which also underpins both the 2013 Dodge Dart sedan and the 2014 Jeep Cherokee crossover. Powertrain details on the new 200 are scarce at this point in time, but the vehicle is expected to be offered with Chrysler’s TigerShark 2.4-liter four-cylinder, along with 3.2-liter and 3.6-liter variants of the Pentastar V-6. The rotary gearshift knob alluded to above is a pretty good indicator that the 2015 Chrysler 200 will be offered with the new nine-speed automatic transmission, which was developed in partnership with ZF and made its production debut in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee.

Although these shots only show the new 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan, a new 200 convertible may also be in the works. If that model is still on track, expect it to debut shortly after production of the 2015 200 sedan commences at Chrysler’s facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Infiniti G Series Sedan, Coupe and Convertible Named to Edmunds' List of Best Pre-Owned Vehicles

We at admire Infinit's execution of the G Series, though now supplanted by the Q Series. The G has always been a smart alternative to the BMW 3 series, which is
obvious, but compelling. Through the years, Infiniti has been tenacious in offering excellent performance, handling and luxury to rival its German competitor.

Now, the well-priced, well-made G Series turns up on's list of most attractive pre-owned cars for the 2006-2011 model years. The G's in question include the G35, G37 and G25.

Compared to that German benchmark, the Infiniti G's roomier cabin and lower acquisition and maintenance costs make it a smart choice for savvy enthusiasts. Available in sedan, coupe and convertible body styles, the Infiniti G series can be anything from a practical midsize family sport sedan to a 2+2 sport coupe to a carefree rag-top that boasts a
retractable hardtop—as long as you don't mind the minute trunk capacity when the top is down. (Both the coupe and convertible are now available as Q models.)

Naturally, the sedan will make the most sense for most folks, while the rakish coupe and convertible versions are a great alternative for Nissan Z car fans seeking more practicality and refinement, as their performance capabilities are very much the same.

According to U.S. News, the G37 ranks third out of 23 Upscale Midsize Cars. A large part of its high ranking, we think, is due not only to its great handling, but the G boasts a beautiful, luxurious interior. In addition, all G37 models come with a strong list of standard features, which includes leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control,a backup camera and USB and Bluetooth connections. When compared with rival cars, many reviewers agree that the 2013 G37’s tech features are among the most user-friendly you’ll find.

So, would you rather own a brand-new G37 rather than a pre-owned model?  if you want to get into a G before the model goes away, take a few minutes and stop by Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta for incredible offers on their remaining G37 inventory. Right now, during Roswell Infinit's Limited Engagement Year-End Event, you can slip into a new G sedan Sign&Drive lease for under $300 per month. That's right. A stylish new G37 for less than $300.

Whether you're looking at a new or used G, or its successor, the fantastic, high-tech Q50, now is the perfect time of the year to take advantage of the selection, savings and service at Georgia's Number One Infiniti Dealer. Roswell Infiniti will exceed your expectations.

It May Not Debut Until Next Fall, But the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Will Come in Family-Friendly Wagon Form

Pioneering American families will be able to "circle the wagons" next fall when the new-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes to the states in an efficient and classy
stretched version to complement the 2015 C-Class sedan.

At, we love wagons and hatchbacks, so we welcome the new compact version that looks so much like its big brother, the S-Class.

The next C-Class has been spotted plenty of times already in sedan form, and as we say, it looks a lot like a small S-Class. But there's another body style that has since been spotted, a C-Class wagon that intrepid spies photographed outside Mercedes-Benz' research and development center in Germany. Despite the camouflage, the wagon looks close to being ready for production.

While the new C-Class Wagon, otherwise known as the T-Model and Estate, will continue to place the focus on space and practicality, it seems Mercedes-Benz' designers have tried to cover up the additional body panels in a more styling fashion compared to the current model, with a sharper looking profile window line and rear end.
To put it succinctly, the interior of the 2015 is simply stunning, a gorgeous marriage of upscale materials and craftsmanship. It's spacious, too.

Speaking of interior room, the new C-Class Wagon's longer wheelbase with a corresponding increase in length, along with the wider tracks of the new MRA platform architecture, will offer better passenger accommodation and luggage volume over the model it replaces. The increased exterior dimensions won't come with a weight penalty. In fact, Mercedes has said that the use of lighter materials will allow all models of the next W205 C-Class to be lighter than their predecessors.
In the markets that Mercedes will offer the C-Class Wagon, the engine range will mirror that of the sedan model with both gasoline and diesel units.

If you're not a huge wagon fan, you might opt for the impressive looks of the coming C-Class convertible. This droptop is expected to hit the market in 2015, a year after the new sedan, as a 2016 model.

Either way, there is little question that the next C-Class offering, from sedan to wagon to convertible will wow Mercedes-Benz fans wherever you might reside and drive.

Does the upcoming C-Class fit into your family's wish list for optimum luxury and values in a compact package? As soon as the model arrives, Atlanta's innovative Mercedes-Benz dealer, Atlanta Classic Cars, will help you discover its many attributes.

Then you'll be ready to drive home the best value ever in a wagon or sedan compact-luxury package. Once you make a decision, your ownership experience will be overseen by one of the leading Mercedes-Benz dealerships in America.

Ford's New Edge Concept Greets the Crowd in L.A.—We Have to Say it Looks Sharper than Ever

Essentially a tall-roofed family wagon, with a spacious tech-connected interior and punchy
yet fuel-efficient powertrains, the Edge has been, and will be, a good pick for small families, and empty-nesters who need a little extra space.

The cabin on the new Edge is absolutely excellent—its upgraded cabin materials and sophisticated look are in tune with the best offerings available from any manufacturer.

At the base level, the Edge moves briskly with its 285-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 and six-speed automatic. The Sport model upgrades to a 3.7-liter making 305 hp, as well as upgraded handling, while those looking for better fuel economy will want the new 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four, rated at 240 hp. With it, the Edge gets a lineup-leading highway gas mileage of 30 mpg. Altogether, it neatly bridges the five-seat experience now from Escape to Explorer.

In regard to ride and handling, the Edge drives like a car with a high seating position. Ride quality tends to be on the firm side, but not at all busy, while steering response is quick yet relaxed on the highway. Its secure, predictable, and responsive driving character makes it a great choice for busy family commuters.

Best of all, the spacious, brisk-performing 2014 Edge base price starts at just over 28K—with lots of standard features. And in our view, it looks just as good as it performs. In this class, we at really feel the Edge is an unusually smart choice.

For Ford fans who have been waiting for this exciting new upgrade, the 2014 Ford Edge should hit showrooms as we speak—at least by mid-December.

Whichever Ford model model appeals to your senses—even if it's the unique, roomy Ford Flex Limited with 350 lb.-ft. of torque and 23 MPG highway, plan to visit Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia. Akins is worth a drive from anywhere in the Atlanta area.

Akins makes every customer feel special, and while you're at it, the staff makes certain you receive maximum savings and first-class service after the sale. Unveiled 2014 Honda Civic Coupe Drives Great, Looks Good Inside and Out

Honda lifted the covers off its refreshed Civic Coupe at the recent LA Auto Show. It's getting positive responses for both cosmetic and mechanical elements, for good reason. At, we think it's one of the finest compact coupes in America, in the great Honda tradition. We urge you to check it out when it debuts—timing now scheduled before the end of December.

The two biggest changes you're likely to notice in the 2014 Civic Coupe will be the new continuously variable transmission and the all-new infotainment system. The CVT replaces the ancient and out-classed five-speed automatic and does so in fine form. It's related but not identical to the new CVT in the larger Accord, but behaves the same way. It's one of the best CVTs on the market in our estimation. Even better, the automatic Civic finally has a Sport mode and even paddle shifters. As you'd expect, Sport makes the throttle calibration more aggressive and keeps the revs higher. The result is a car that feels a bit more peppy and responsive.

The other feature that will definitely grab your attention is the all new "Display Audio" (Display Audio+ if you get navigation) infotainment system. Completely replacing Honda's outdated infotainment system, Display Audio(+) is a huge step forward. Perhaps the greatest advancement of the new system is its gesture recognition. Just drag your finger across the map to move it. The screen also functions as the three-mode backup camera display and the LaneWatch display.

Sign up here for direct updates from Honda about the exact arrival date of the latest generation Civic coupe.

In addition to the slightly stiffer suspension, the coupe also gets some exterior cosmetic updates. The most notable is the new grille and headlights, which are similar to that of the new Fit compact hatch. We like the more aggressive lower fascia and the strong character line running over the tops of the front fenders. Around back, new headlights and some dimples in the bumper liven things up a little. The coupe also gets exclusive wheels.

Inside, the new Civic will boast a wealth of satisfying, soft-touch materials to go with its snazzy new navigation-infotainment system.

Right now, during Honda's Happy Honda Days Year-End Clearance, you can get amazing deals on 2013 Honda Civics before the 2014 model debuts. Give it full consideration, as the year-end savings are recognized as the very best of the year.

At, we know it will be worth your while to drive to the mecca of South Georgia-North Florida Honda dealers, Honda of the Avenues. If you can drive there in a few hours, you owe it to yourself to travel to the source of unrivaled Honda deals and the type of service that will make you a customer for life.

In Jacksonville, the Honda Giant will make sure you receive maximum savings, outstanding service and a car-buying experience that will greatly exceed your expectations.

New 2014 Kia Soul Delivers Enhanced Driving Dynamics, Ride and Handling

Let's put it this way. The new 2014 Kia Soul boasts a lot more soul in its drivetrain and undercarriage. Compared to its predecessor, the new Soul will be a lot more fun to drive.

At, we heartily suggest you check it out.

After five years on the market (really?), the Soul has very much earned a new platform, and for 2014, it gets one. That means the Soul doesn't share architecture with its Forte and Rio siblings so much as it does a toolbox and attitude.

In other words, parts are not common, but the method in which they go together are. The Soul's new body is now 28.7-percent stiffer thanks in part to increased use of high-strength steels.

Kia says the 2014 Soul is totally transformed, and we believe it is.

More room in the cabin is a result of a 0.8-inch increase in the wheelbase. It's welcomed space. On the other hand, the new Kia Soul has a much more planted look because the overall height is lowered 0.4 inches. Not significant, perhaps, but you can sense the difference immediately.

Along with more spacious accommodations, the 2014 Soul offers a more sumptuous interior, plus more cargo capacity, which now tops out at a crossover-like 61 cubic feet. Optional equipment closely follows last year's Soul, but new items include a panoramic sunroof and an upgraded Uvo eServices package that includes streaming Internet radio capability for smartphone users. And you can choose from three Soul models.

The top two picks offer the 164HP 2.0 liter—a powerplant we highly recommend.

Although the Soul doesn't feel especially sporty, it handles better than you might expect. The steering has a reassuring weightiness to its effort level at highway speeds, and it feels precise when you're driving around turns. The brake pedal has a reassuringly firm feel, too. Still, the best part about driving the 2014 Soul is its smooth ride. Even with the Soul! model's handsome 18-inch cast aluminum alloy wheels, this box-shaped wagon rides tolerably over bumps and ruts.

Hamsters or no hamsters, Lady Gaga or no Lady Gaga, the new Soul may break its most recent one-year sales record of 112,000. Pretty impressive.

If you're in the market for a Kia Soul, and you live anywhere in the midwest, we would like to steer you to Ray Skillman Kia in Indianapolis. Right now, you can purchase a brand-new 2014 Kia Soul 5-door wagon for under 18K. That's right, after $500 rebate, pay just $17,110!

The New 2014 Toyota Highlander. It's a Crossover Clearly Designed to Exceed Your Expectations

At, we think the new Highlander will be the right size, with the right looks and the right capability to suit most American families.

Sign up now for updates on the 2014 Toyota Highlander release.
The redesigned, popular SUV will accommodate up to eight, plus it has plenty of cargo room, enhanced safety features and an extremely nice, comfortable interior. With prices predicted to start just north of $30K, the latest Highlander will offer legendary Toyota value for one and all.

The greatest innovation in the new model is its interior space. The third-generation Highlander can now seat eight passengers and offers 34 percent more cargo volume behind the third row, thanks to a revised rear suspension design and three inches of additional length. Toyota hasn't released final specs yet, but figure on about 14 cubic feet back there.

The 2014s looks boast a new wide-mouth grille flanked by longer wraparound headlights, LED running lights and more pronounced fender creases. Stretched rear glass alleviates any mild claustrophobia of the current model. The Highlander also gets an upgraded interior that includes a standard 6.1-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, an optional 8-inch screen with Entune apps and smartphone integration, and an available rear-seat entertainment package.

You will be able to power the next-generation Highlander with a 187HP 4-banger, but most folks will probably go for one of two tried-and-true V6s. The standard version--which produced 270 hp last year--teams up with a six-speed automatic and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The Hybrid (280 HP net last year) pairs with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) and through-the-road all-wheel drive, which means the gas power goes to the front wheels, while electric power passes only to the rear wheels.

The redesigned 2014 Highlander goes on sale in early 2014, and as of mid-November,
pricing hasn't been released yet.

In the meantime, you can lock in really great deals on 2013 Toyota Highlanders at one of our favorite dealers, Stone Mountain Toyota at 4400 Stone Mountain Highway in Lilburn. You can turn to Stone Mountain Toyota for money-saving Monthly Web Specials and a great deal on new and pre-owned Toyotas, plus other fine used vehicles. Like we said, 2013 Highlanders are priced right—all you need to do is pick the right color and equipment for your family.

Always, the savings, service and selection at Stone Mountain Toyota is simply second to none. That's true whether you choose the Camry, Corolla, Tundra pickup, Highlander crossover, or any other quality Toyota vehicle.

Supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8 on the Test Track in Dodge Challenger

Challenger fans, brace yourselves for a hot new possibility for the good-looking, under-performing Dodge Challenger sports coupe. The successful, authentically retro Challenger has been trying out a pumped-up new Hemi V8 which could leap the iconic Dodge pony car into stratospheric horsepower regions.

Even its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.

So what are the wizards at Chrysler-Fiat thinking?

They're thinking no guts, no power, no gain. They're thinking add a whole lot more grunt to their hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play.Back in May, we came to the realization that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely
arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.

At, we now know that a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers have been running serious and secret testing procedures with the potent new engine in several key venues in the Southwest. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, dedicated spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.

Although the Hellcat is being tested in the Challenger, it certainly shouldn't be ruled out for the coupe's platform-mates, the 300 and Charger. As for when we'll see a production car equipped with the Hellcat, it remains to be seen if it will replace the current 6.4-liter Hemi V8 or serve alongside it as the new flagship engine for the Challenger, 300 and Charger.

Most important, if you're a died-in-the-wool Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram fan, sign up now for updates on when the new, highly-anticipated 2014 Jeep Cherokee will hit Chrysler showrooms. When you're ready to test drive this revolutionary model, we suggest you make a short drive to Akins Jeep-Chrysler-Dodge-Ram in Winder, GA. Drive just a little way and get the best price possible on all types of Chrysler products.

If you're ready to buy now, remember Akins' Monthly Web Specials will save you thousands on your favorite Jeep-Chrysler-Dodge-Ram models. Check them out and get the kind of savings you just won't find at a big-city dealer.

P.S. For your immediate pony-car driving pleasure, Akins has 2014 Dodge Challengers in stock—right now—at great prices!

Cool New Compact Infiniti Q30 Concept at Frankfurt Targets Youth Market in a Big Way

Attendees and Infiniti aficionados got a big wake-up call when the Infiniti Q30 Concept was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The five-door hatchback has style to spare and will compete aggressively with the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.

What, exactly, is Infiniti up to here?

Well, not only is Infiniti moving down market, it's targeting a younger audience, a field that it hasn't traditionally played in, that wants something different than a hum-drum luxury car. According to Infiniti's marketing director, Hugues Fabre, "Younger customers are coming into the premium segment with their own attitude toward premium-ness."

So if you appreciate Infiniti design innovations, chances are you are going to like all of the cues front to rear in the Q30 Concept. The Q30 sports a bold nose with Q50-inspired
headlights and grille. The drama continues rearward with striking creases from the profile view including a prominent reverse-kinked C-pillar that is sure to get everyone's attention. It's cool and brash at the same time.

Inside this futuristic hatchback, you'll discover an exciting interior that looks more like a Star-Wars-themed nightclub than a concept car cabin. There's lots of violet lighting, impressive bronzed trim and buttery leather. Ignore the flashy concept car highlights, though, and you'll come way thinking that Infiniti is dead serious when it says the Q30 foreshadows a true production model.

At we think the flowing lines of the Q30 work because of its grownup hatchback proportions and its huge, in-your-face wheels. The Q30 could seemingly slot into
the current, attractive Infiniti range of production cars. Being steadfast Infiniti fans, we'd really like to see that happen.

But since the Q30 is most likely a year or so away from dealerships, you might want to consider getting your Infiniti fix sooner rather than later. If so, we highly recommend Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta, for a game-changing test drive of the hot new Infiniti Q50. Roswell Infiniti has the new Q in stock and ready for immediate delivery—plus you'll get an exceptional offer right now. Another option you'll find appealing is Roswell Infiniti's classic G37 sedan at a lease price you will simply love.

Whether it's the Q50, G37 or plush M sedan, you should take advantage of the legendary selection, savings and service at Georgia's Number One Infiniti Dealer. And while you're at it, be sure to look into Roswell Infiniti's Monthly Web Specials for unrivaled values on Infiniti quality.

If You're a Merc Fan, You Can Celebrate the Fact that Mercedes-Benz' September Sales Are the Best in Company History

Thanks in large part to the new S-Class and new E-Class, Mercedes-Benz achieved historic sales in September, 2013. A total of 142,994 new cars were supplied to customers around the world, equivalent to growth of 15.9% compared to the previous year.

New compacts like the A-Class and CLA-Class also contributed significantly to dramatic sales growth. The third quarter was particularly successful for the company in the United States and China. Mercedes-Benz also expanded its market shares in Europe and remains the most-registered premium brand in Germany, Japan and the United States.

Recent reports verify that Mercedes-Benz' S-class was gobbled up by luxury consumers at an astonishing rate of 30,000 orders in the past three months.  "The new S-Class has already jumped back into the lead in terms of new vehicle registrations in Germany and its neighboring European countries," Mercedes-Benz head of sales and marketing, Ola Kaellenius, said in a statement last week.

Even better, the exciting new Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 Sport is hitting U.S. showrooms as
we speak, and it is a stunning compact sports sedan.

Starting at $30,825 in the US with front-wheel drive and around $33,500 with the all-wheel-drive 4Matic system, the CLA's long list of premium and near-premium competitors should make for some fascinating comparison testing. The substance of the CLA message is there for now: This is a good and solid baby Mercedes sedan with above average build quality, great ambitions, and fresh looks that fit the established brand image worldwide.

So. Do you think this new downsized Mercedes luxury-compact is a perfect fit for your garage? Then you should make a date with Atlanta's trusted Mercedes-Benz dealer, Atlanta Classic Cars for a test-drive and all the exciting details about Mercedes' CLA attributes.

Bill Elliott's 26-Year Daytona Speedway Record Obliterated by Ford Eco-Boost-Powered Prototype

Powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, a new Riley Technologies racing car just posted a track-busting 222.9 MPH lap at Daytona Speedway.

The previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for over two-and-one-half decades until now.

To set the new record, Colin Braun drove a Riley Technologies Daytona Prototype race car, powered by the new 3.5-liter, V-6 Ford EcoBoost racing engine. Braun and the Michael Shank Racing team also set new world speed records for 10 miles from a standing start (210.018 mph average), and 10 kilometers from a standing start (202.438 mph average). All times from today's session are subject to Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) homologation.

Elliott set the previous speed record. But he understands the significance of what was accomplished during the recent speed trials.

"It was a challenging day," said Braun afterward. "There was a lot of work put in by a lot of people to accomplish these records. The power in the new EcoBoost engine was incredible, and it was amazing how fast it came up to speed on the runs.
Braun, at 25 years of age, wasn't even born when Bill Elliot set the record.

For Ford lovers, it is important to note that the the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost motor with twin turbochargers is based substantially from a number of production parts from the Ford Taurus SHO. Ford says, "Taurus SHO offers the ultimate marriage of performance and refinement with a collection of performance-enhancing upgrades. Delivering more power, heightened control and sportier style, SHO is equally at home on the streets or on the track."

Of course, you can explore EcoBoost power and efficiency in an array of other Ford models. For example, the Ford Focus ST with EcoBoost delivers 252 HP with 32 MPG. With spacious SUV amenities, the Ford Explorer Sport gives you twin-turbo oomph with 365 HP and still offers 22 MPG on the interstate.

Whichever Ford EcoBoost model gets your juices flowing—even if it's the unique, roomy Ford Flex Limited with 350 lb.-ft. of torque and 23 MPG highway, plan to visit Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia. Akins is worth a drive from anywhere in metro Atlanta.

Along with Akins' amazing customer care, you'll discover a spectacular inventory with matching savings and service after the sale. That's true whether your family is into Ford's innovative EcoBoost technology or a base model of the world's leading pickup, the Ford F-150. The prices are always right at Akins Ford.

At the end of the day, Akins Ford-Jeep-Chrysler in Winder will win you over with a deal too good to pass up!

Get Your Hybrid Accord from Honda and Get 50 MPH for Under 30K

Honda announced pricing for the new, 50-mile-per-gallon 2014 Accord Hybrid recently , with three trims – Hybrid, Hybrid EX-L and Hybrid Touring – for owners to choose from. Prices for the base car start at $29,155, while the mid-range model will run $31,905. The top-of-the-line Touring trim starts at $34,905. Prices do not include the *$905 destination charge.

Regardless of which model is chosen, Accord Hybrid owners will be able to net 50 mpg in the city and 45 on the highway, numbers that compare favorably with the Ford Fusion Hybrid (47/47 mpg) and the Toyota Camry Hybrid (43/39). Take note, the Accord costs a tad more than the competition, but if out-and-out fuel economy is your goal, the Honda wins based on these numbers.

It's also notable how much Honda was able to trim off the Accord Hybrid's price when compared to the Accord Plug-In. That car starts at $39,780, meaning the Hybrid variant is over $10,000 less, while matching that PHEV's 47-mpg combined rating. Take a look down below for the official press release from Honda.

Don't Look Now, But King Camry Could Lose Toyota Its Number One Best-Seller Sedan Spot in 2014

Eleven months after Toyota claimed the 2012 sales crown a couple of months early thanks to the Camry, the headlines this year have been very different for sure. Even though the Camry remains the best selling car so far in 2013 and its volume has increased year-on-year, it has lost market share due to the 20-percent sales explosion in the midsize segment. That means people are buying more of the competitor offerings like the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion - the Altima, in fact, outsold the Camry by 100 units in March.

In July it was reported that Toyota was upping Camry incentives and fleet sales to keep its lead and that dealer inventory was climbing as, again, competitors got better at fighting the champion. In August Ford doubled down on production of the Fusion, adding a line in Flat Rock, MI to keep up with demand.

The truth is, Toyota's competitors are making better automobiles these days and they are pricing them to compete specifically with the Camry.

Still, the Camry has been number one for 15 of the past 16 years, its only second-place blip coming in 2001, so it's way early to be talking about the fall of the champion.

Frankly there is a lot to like about the Camry and if you like solid, mainstream design and reliable performance, Toyota Camry is an easy sedan for us at to recommend.

For example, less than 23K will put you in the driver's seat of a Camry LE with a 6-speed automatic transmission, projector beam halogen headlights, 16" wheels and enough air bags and safety equipment to rival all the competition. Plus you get 178 HP from the 4-banger as well as up to 35 MPG highway.

We like the Toyota Camry for a slew of logical reasons. The 2014 Camry has a fresh interior, roomy seats, admirable outward visibility and well-placed controls. The most noticeable and valuable
enhancements in the 2014 Camry are the quality of materials used throughout the cabin, including an abundance of soft-touch surfaces. On the outside, the Camry provides the comfort and the quiet and smooth ride that should please a wide range of midsize sedan shoppers. Power and fuel economy are excellent.

Will Fiat-Chrysler Kill the Dodge Brand? What Do You Think—Is the Dodge Badge a Dead Duck?

Ward's Auto reported early in summer that the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out its game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.

But more recent updates from authoritative sources say Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with, explaining that the marque isn't facing extinction. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"

The thing is, Dodge is Chrysler's volume brand—and by a wide margin. Benchmark sales, as recently as this past February show Dodge boasting aggressive growth. Dodge brand sales increased 30%—the largest year-over-year percentage increase of any Chrysler group brand.

Plus more good news for the tried-and-true Dodge brand:
  • Dodge Dart sales increased 8 percent month over month; best sales month since June launch last year
  • Dodge Dart, Ram 1500, Fiat 500 Abarth, and SRT Viper each won a MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Award
  • Dodge Challenger muscle car sets all-time sales record; sales up 34 percent
  • Dodge Avenger mid-size sedan sets sales record for month of February with 52 percent sales gain
  • Dodge Journey full-size crossover sets sales record for month of February; sales up 21 percent
  • Dodge Durango sales up 38 percent; best February sales since 2006
One hard-working icon of Dodge-Chrysler success story is the often-maligned family-hauling minivan. Well, earlier this month, Chrysler celebrated a whopping 30 years of minivan production with two special editions.

The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition starts the Touring-L trim and includes such special touches as 17-inch wheels, unique badging, available Granite Crystal Pearl paint and an interior decked out in black Alcantara and Nappa leather, piano black trim and all the optional bells and whistles bundled in.

The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Edition, meanwhile, starts off with either the SE or SXT trims and also upgrades with 17-inch alloys as well as color-keyed mirrors and an interior with silver stitching, piano black trim, power everything, and of course, those special badges. Both versions are powered by the same 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 283 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Plug-in Hybrid? Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus

We understand that this fall, the Frankfurt Motor Show will debut to the world an honest-to-goodness S-Class hybrid sedan that, if Mercedes-Benz history is a relevant benchmark,
should set the standard for luxury-hybrid offerings.

It may not hit Amåerican dealerships until spring 2014 or even the fall of next year, but the car will make history when it does.

Likely to be called the S550 in America, what we've gathered from the various rumors is a forthcoming motor yacht that bests the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid for the segment's lowest CO2 emissions at 70 g/km (in fact, that's better than a few variants of the Toyota Prius). The big Benz will use a 3.5-liter V6 aided by one electric motor and a battery pack in the floor of the trunk, and it will do 15 to 20 miles on electric power and get from 0-to-60 miles per hour in under six seconds. The model will also get an AMG tailpipe treatment according to patent drawings, and might boast a US combined rating of around 75 miles per gallon.

That's a lot of MPG for a thoroughly luxurious autobahn cruiser that not only delivers you to your destination in style, but does the job in thrifty, green-centric style. How much will this environmentally-friendly luxo-barge cost at your nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer? Well, it's just way too early to tell. But stay tuned to blog and we will update you ahead of the time.

It's interesting to note that according to reliable sources, Mercedes-Benz has sold more hybrids than all other German luxury makers combined in 2012. If the S-Class PHEV unveiled in Frankfurt can stand up to the gossip, we can envision the trend continuing.

Enjoy this video of the recently unveiled Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2014 S400 Hybrid:
